"The Aspen"

Rod

This handmade graphite fly rod was created by rod builder and eclectic angler, Michael Hackney of Groton, MA. The “Aspen” is built on a 4 piece, 9’ 5-weight St Croix SCII blank, resulting in a highly sensitive and lightweight rod. It features a custom uplocking reel seat and hand-painted seat insert, grip and guide wraps to simulate natural aspen bark. Matte black single foot guides, tip top, and hook keeper complete the appointments. Included is a custom aspen print rod sack and rod. $650.
