Chapter Projects 2009
Spring Willow Planting | Spring Cleanup | Parkdale Work Day

The Parkdale project consisted of building (Thanks, Ted S.) and installing the handrail over the stile, replacing barbed wire with smooth wire at the entrance, clearing large brush away from the entrance and pruning tamarisk that had overgrown trail. Our chapter collaborated with BLM on this project.

A great group showed up!

Fishing equipment reviews happened, also. Where there's fishermen ...

Great eats for hungry volunteers
and a time to share stories...

17 volunteers from our chapter 509, Cheyenne Mountain Chapter and Collegiate Peaks Anglers Chapter completed willow planting this spring in cooperation with the Division of Wildlife. The willow planting finalized the work on this instream habitat improvement project, begun in 2008. The project won the "Exemplary Project of 2009" Award at CTU's Rendezvous in Spring 2009. Thanks to our chapter, Cheyenne Mountain Chapter and Collegiate Peaks Anglers for the total effort that made this project possible!
